Summer Day Camp
Here at the YMCA, we want to offer our communities youth with opportunites to continue to grow and learn in a hands-on environment. Our Summer Day Camp will provide many opportunities for each child to learn and play in a social setting.
Hours of Operation: Our summer day camp program will go from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. We offer extended care hours at no extra cost to help working familites. Extended hours begin at 6:30 am and end at 6:00 pm.
Meals: Breakfast will be served from 8 to 8:30. A lunch will be provided and children will be served an afternoon snack. Ages: Pre-K 4 year olds up to 14 year olds. Children will be grouped according to age.
Cost: The cost is $135 for members and $150 for non-members per child/ per week A 2 day option is available at $60 for members and $75 for non-members
Activities include: Arts and crafts, active games, visiting area parks, swimming and field trips

Week 1: May 30-June 2
Ready, Set, Go! We’re just getting started. What swim level are you? What’s a friendship bracelet? How do you play Ultimate Frisbee? Come find out!
Week 2: June 5– June 9
Down on the Farm How does your garden grow? Can we plant pumpkins to harvest into Jack-0- Lanterns? And we just might visit some animals.
Week 3: June 12 to June 16
Your Home Town Everyone thinks where they live is boring. Someplace else is more exciting. This week we explore what makes Marion a pretty cool place to live.
Week 4: June 19 to June 23
Mystery and Riddles Are you good and puzzles? Do you like secret codes and treasure? So do we. Come explore and maybe even create some mysteries of our own.
Week 5: June 26-June 30
Hands on /Minds on Put on your thinking caps, turn on your imagination and let’s create some magic with everyday objects.
Week 6: July 3-July7 (no program on July 4)
Holiday Hoopla You’ve heard of Christmas in July? How about we celebrate, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, and the 4th of July all in one week? Jingle Bells, Trick or Treat, and here comes Peter Cotton Tail… there will be costumes.
Week 7: July 10-July 14
Super Heroes We may have some games and crafts with a Marvel or DC flavor, but we plan to celebrate our real life heroes and talk about our Police, Fire, and Medical professionals.
Week 8: July 17—July 21
Circus Week We are going to visit our friends at the Peru Y and experience a little Circus Town USA. Know how to juggle? Me either. But maybe we can learn!
Week 9: July 24– July 28
Lights, Camera, Action! (Y’s Got Talent) We’ve been doing songs and skits all summer long. This week we perform for you. Campers can show off their special talents and groups will share the songs and skits we’ve sung all summer. At the end of the week we will have a lunch time performance and you are invited.
Week 10: July 31-Aug.4
